This course further extends students' skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English for a variety of everyday and academic purposes. Students will make short classroom oral presentations; read a variety of adapted and original texts in English; and write using a variety of text forms. As well, students will expand their academic vocabulary and their study skills to facilitate their transition to the mainstream school program. This course also introduces students to the rights and responsibilities inherent in Canadian citizenship, and to a variety of current Canadian issues. All TGA programs are delivered via the Moodle Learning Management System, offering 24/7 access to lessons, assignments, and teacher support from any global location.

Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; develop techniques for combining functions; broaden their understanding of rates of change; and develop facility in applying these concepts and skills.

Enroll in Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U), a Grade 12 University Preparation course. This course builds on students' previous experience with functions and their developing understanding of rates of change. Students will solve problems involving vectors and representations of lines and planes in three-dimensional space; broaden their understanding of rates of change to include derivatives; and apply these concepts to real-world relationships.
